(POEM) Nowhere by Zelda Bean

Nowhere

Driving through Nowhere, Iowa

is dreadfully missed.

Clean washen faces.

Shaved heads and daydreams

of dancing natives.

A land I never thought

would become my greatest wish.

A land filled with fields glowing,

temperate, sun-kissed,

Poof, poof, bulletproof magic.

A land that makes us self-analyze

and search our bodies for ticks.

This is Iowa, my friends. This.
