(POEM) Soul by Zelda Bean

Soul

There were demons in my head.

They danced not at all.

You have to have a soul to dance.

And I am overflowing with soul.

I’ve been dancing since

I was a baby girl, so much soul.

I need the whole world to see me.

They won’t believe it.

I’m almost hovering,

uncovering the meaning of

my dance steps.

I was a tiny, breakable thing.

I am now a big, breakable thing.

We are all breakable.

We are all resilient.
