Best Advice I Ever Got From Kathie Giorgio

I thought I was done with writing. Then yesterday I posted that I was going to set aside 30 minutes a day to write. Today, I went in thinking I’d write a book. Nope. I wrote a poem I actually really like. I got this. My mentor is Kathie Giorgio, a popular writer and founder of All Writers Workplace and Workshop. I just want to thank Kathie Giorgio for giving me the best writing advice of my life. I told her I felt robbed of writing because of my train incident. She said, “Write differently.”

I don’t know if I’ll ever write a book again. My track event might very well be poetry. I think I’ll spend more time today writing. This time, I’m doing it for myself. In the picture below is Kathie Giorgio and her very talented daughter, Olivia. Thank you, Kathie.
