Brooke Cormier, a Youtuber I watch, once said that having a small following is like having a small wedding. The people who show up still love being there. I don’t have a lot of followers on Instagram and I have to check myself when I get jealous of others. The quality of people is really there. I have a lot of people who really like what I do. One day, back in August, I added a gallery called Celebrate Art to my Facebook friends. I don’t know who added who first, but I’m very glad it happened. They really believe in my work. Dawn just came to my dad’s storage unit today. It had a great deal of my art there. She told my dad and me that she wants to put much of it up for the Waukesha Art Crawl. December 5th! For my gallery show back in September, I worked so hard to prepare. They had room for my voice paintings- about ten. That’s a great deal. I am so grateful, especially because my body of work is now so big- even bigger than what I had for that show. I made countless works in that year leading up. Those are the ones she wants for the gallery. Dawn and Stef will also potentially be showing some of my works from high school and new adult ones. Eras tour, much? We’re meeting on Monday to get them ready. Friends: Quality over quantity, people. It’s a fact. Thanks, ladies. See you in December.
