(POEM) I Slept On by Zelda Bean

I Slept On

I see the misery in you.

Toes in the sand.

Heroin needle on the top of the dune that

I slept on.

Jersey on—

from the AmeriCorps lost and found.

Black and yellow.

Breaking sensation in your joints.

You never actually break.
