(POEM) This Job by Zelda Bean

This Job

I need to stop dancing tonight.

I can’t keep dancing.

I’m energizing the world too much.

Do not do too much—

you can do concerts at night

on the right days.

Your tour dates

will be carefully planned.

Dance in the morning.

Dance like the chance

has already

been taken.

I was awakened

by the love of my life

who loved the ones

who did not know

calm.

This job.

This job.

Pays well..

Get ready for bed.

Do not respond.

Go to the big white room.

and dance with the

rainbow cloud.

No. The door.

Bust through that shit.

We stick together.

Communicate.

Shared mind.

Stick together. Woohee.

Go wherever you want.

Play.

God did not write this.

We get ready

for bed first— calmly.

Who am I?

Periods after sentences.
